Phillips 66 1932 Lockheed Vega, first in the series, produced by Spec Cast in 1/48 scale and made from die cast metal. Produced in 1992. This plane was flown by W. D. "Billy" Parker, one if the first licensed pilots in America. he used it to deliver firefighters and nitroglycerin to extinguish oil well fires along with transporting company executives. NC-898E is the authentic tail number for the original plane.
This plane came from an adult collection and might have been displayed in a smoke free home but it has been removed from the box for the pic.
